Personal experiences with the name David

David is a family name. It was the name of my grandfather and great grandfather. I have three cousins who got the name. Two as the first name and one as a middle name. I was supposed to be named David had I been a boy. Had I been mom to a boy his middle name was going to be David.

I once had a Biology Professor named David (Jones). He was one of the most unique professors that i have ever had, making his own rules, and often spending class time to talk about whatever the heck he wanted to. He swore like a sailor in his high school class, and eventually left to start his own charter school, which he spent his classes designing with his students. With all of that, this Teacher was most of the people in my class's favorite.

My name is David. I love it for several reasons. First it has staying power. It doesn't get confused with other names and everyone can spell it. The only time I've ever been asked to spell my name was when I witness in court. (What is your full name and spell it for the record, please).

My dad's name is David. :) x2

Everyone I have ever met with the name David has been a great person. My father's name is David and an old childhood friend is named David. Both men are strong and kind! This is one of my favorite male names! As we grow and have experienced people we either like or dislike names based on interactions. This name and the people I have encountered with this name have always been amazing!

My brother is named David and he's super annoying... but he's 13 so... we can always hope for the future. My uncle and both grandpas have a David in their name, as does my Dad. It's a family sorta name:)

I like the name David. I have met some nice Davids and some non-so-nice Davids; however, it's such a common name that when I hear it I don't automatically think of somebody I don't like. However, I know of a name that is very uncommon, and the person I knew who had it was mean and nasty, so if I hear that name I automatically think of this person who was a bully in school.

My grandfathers on both sides are named David, and it’s my brother’s middle name.
