- Comments and insights on the name Adrienne
This is my daughter's name. I picked this spelling, Adrienn, because it was a more feminine spelling And had no "e" at the end just like mine, Roxann, does not. Many times people add an "e" or an "a" to the end of it.
I am an Adrienne from 1983 and have never liked my back name. I don’t like hearing people call me it and loose my mind trying to get people to spell it. I married into a long last name too and it is painful every time I neeed give MyNetDiary name for somthing. I have had a hard time naming my 3 daughters because of my own issues with my name and wanting to avoid a long, hard to pronounce, doesn’t work in other languages, no nickname name.
- Personal experiences with the name Adrienne
My name is Adrienne and I have enjoyed having it as a name. People sometimes tell me it is pretty. It is different enough that people feel compelled to tell me their mother, niece, cousin ect. is named Adrienne. Of course I get a lot of "Yo, Adrienne!", "Adrienne I did it".....but I like it. Also not many people spell it correctly (I couldn't if it wasn't my name), and people have a hard time remembering my name, calling me Andrea instead but none of that bothers me. If you are considering naming your baby Adrienne I think it is a lovely choice.
We named our daughter Adrienne and sometimes we call her Ren or Renny roo. I know its not a nickname directly from the sound of her name, but neither is Jack for John ;). A lot of people love it, they often compliment her name saying it is beautiful. I think that it is a great name, it suits her as a little toddler, it will grow with her as teenager and also into adult hood. It sounds artistic, sophisticated, and intelligent, so it will suit her no matter what direction life takes her! I also agree with the previous person, it is just unique enough, that people don't hear it everyday, but they also don't furrow their brows and say "oh thats.... nice." Love it!
This is one of my closest friend’s names. Fun girl with a fierce attitude and a little boy obsessed. Rides horses but isn’t one of those annoying horse girls. Love her to death.
