- Personal experiences with the name Amie
I was named after the song "Amie" by Pure Prairie League. I have always adored my name and have always had nicknames. I was Amie L. to all of my school friends b/c there were 3 of us, each spelled differently. I was lucky enough to have "fit" my name, outgoing, lots of friends (name means beloved/friend). I would say bring it back parents, but I already have to turn too many times in the grocery store :)
