My name is Brenna. I was born in 1965, i must be one of the first according to the chart. The babyname book my mom used said it means "ravenhaired maiden".
I love my name! It has been a little aggravating having to spell it and correct people , especially since my last names have always been long and difficult as well. Also, had the problem of not having personalized items like everyone else . BUT these days it is common for kids to have names they have to spell for people. I have recently returned to college and my name is tame compared to others. Almost half the class has to spell theirs, usually i do not. Only get Breanna now and have to correct. And I ALWAYS get compliments on my name!- Personal experiences with the name Brenna
My sister is named Brenna and she really likes it. Sometimes when she was younger she wished her name was more common (especially when she wanted to buy something with her name on it) but for the most part she likes having an uncommon name. I also love this name and think its a great fit for her personality. She is kind, energetic, and very determined.
My name is Brenna, and when I was younger I didnt like it either because no one could ever say it right. But now that I am an adult, I like it because when someone calls my name, I know they are talking to me! I even went as far as to name my kids unusual names. My daughter is Taylor Mische and my son is Callum Michael. It is definately a challenge growing up but it makes you strong!
