- Personal experiences with the name Bridget
Bridget is a STRONG name for a little girl. Bridgets are survivors and humanitarians with a good sense of humor. The Goddess and Saint who share the name are powerful women who went their own way and were healing, lovely characters who helped those in need. Plus, the name comes with great nicknames.
In my experience as the mother of a Bridget, it is that rare sweet spot- one rarely meets another Bridget, yet everyone is familiar with the name and can pronounce it (though my Bridget gets peeved that some people misspell her name, using a "tte" ending instead.)
