- Personal experiences with the name Elvira
It's my middle name and I received it because it was my great-grandmother's middle name too. I've never really minded it, except it's a bit hard to pronounce for some and then there's those people who insist on calling you Elvira Madigan all the time.
Elvira is also my middle name, and I also recieved it, but from my grandmother. It was her name. She came from Italy, had 6 kids, and she was a very strong woman. She would learn anything just by watching someone do it once, just for her kids. She could paint her whole house in less than a few hours. I think Elvira is a very beautiful name, although I do get teased for it and get called “Aloe Vera” because of how we pronounce it. (El-Vay-rah)
