My Mom, of German descent was named Geneva. She was one of the most pure loving and caring persons I’ve ever known. She was extremely gifted musically and everyone loved her. In Montgomery Ohio in May there is a Geneva Wagner Day... Named for my Mom... She passed in 1988 from Breast/Ovarian Cancer. As I was reading possible nicknames for her name I couldn’t help but smile.. I was a Nanny for 2 girls from when they were a baby of 6 months and the other 1 1/2 yrs old. When the youngest was trying to say my name ( Jeanne pronounced as Jeannie ) it came out as Gigi, which was shown under nicknames for Geneva... I bare that name proudly as I’m like a 2nd Mom to my girls!!
My great-grandmother's name was Geneva Faye
