Comments and insights on the name Jennifer

Jennifer is a classic, beautiful, sweet, gorgeous name for a baby girl.

Classic? Jennifer is very dated. TOTALLY TRENDY in the 80s, if that's what you're going for.

I disagree. You need to have an open mind ^^. Jennifer is a classic.

In the 70's & 80's everyone was naming their kids Jennifer - now nobody is. But I really do like the name.

My mother's name is Jennifer Ann. i love my mom so much it goes beyond words. she's fairly tall (5'6"), has dark olive skin, blue eyes, and brown hair.

There were at least 10 Jennifers in every classroom.

Personal experiences with the name Jennifer

My mother's name is Jennifer. She absolutely haaaaatttttessss her name but I think it is a cute, sweet name. I like the nickname Jen, too. When she was little she went by Jenny. I think that is so cute! Every Jen I've known has been extremely sweet and very pretty.

When I was in grade school, in the 50's, I occasionally heard of the name Jennifer, and I thought it was very pretty and unique. There weren't many Jennifers then, but there were a few. I also read a book in which there was a Jennifer. I thought I might name a daughter that when I grew up and married. Then in the 70's & 80's there was an explosion of Jennifers, everybody was naming their kids Jennifer! I still liked the name, but it had gotten to be a fad! Now the fad is over and hardly anyone names their kids Jennifer any more.

My name is Jennifer and I've always liked it. Everyone knows how to pronounce it and spell it, which I appreciate. The popularity of it has never bothered me - even when there were five Jennifers in kindergarten, split between three classes
