My name is Katie.I think its a really great name! it sounds good with all lastnames and middlenames and is good for any age. What I like about it is that you cant find any way to tease anyone called Katie! Its an awesome, pretty yet not too girly name!
I think it's a really pretty name! But I wouldn't choose it myself as can be a bit like a nickname.
Pretty name but far too popular. Often gets confusing in my city with the amount of Katie's there are. Nice name though, just a bit too much.
Love the name Katie! So cool!
Hey! My name is Katie(faith). I really like my name but it’s just a bit too harsh and sounds very informal. I’d like to be know as Katherine or maybe Kate. Everyone says it’s easy to give nicknames to but I really don’t think so. I don’t want to be called kit-kat and that’s all I can think of. But really other than that I think it’s a really great name and sounds sweet and fun!
- Personal experiences with the name Katie
My real name is Caetlin but my name is Caeti.
It is a fun name, easy to spell. Now that I'm hitting my mid-20s though I do sometimes wish I had a more full name for official uses (interviews, academic papers, etc.). I would not personally use the nicknames-as-names trend.
I'm in my 20s and I've always liked my name, I think it suits me. I've been told it makes me seem friendly before people have even really got to know me. Although, I used to hate when people shortened it to Kate, but I don't mind it as much now because it's just usually strangers I'll never meet again.
I have a sister named Katie who sometimes wishes her name was Kathleen or Katherine. Everybody likes her name though.
I'm in my teens, and named Katie. When I was younger people used to ask if my real name was Katherine. People often spell it with a y, which is slightly annoying, but at least is easy to correct.
Sometimes I hate how harsh my name sounds, and also how people sometimes don't make the 't' sound, making my name 'Kayee'.
My nicknames: Kat, Kit-Kat, Kitty and sometimes Katty.I'm a teenager and my name is Katie. People constantly ask me what it's short for and assume it's a nickname. I like my name but now that I've gotten older and I'm in more formal situations (like college and jobs), I wish that I had a more mature sounding name like Katherine as mine just sounds like a nickname.
