-My sister's name is Kristine. She was named after one of my mother's friends who passed when they were kids. My mom said that her name was spelled Kristeen, and was called Krissie for short. I think this is a beautiful name.
-My name is Kristine. I think my name is just okay. I love the meaning of my name, but I just don't like the sound of it-- it is too proper and old fashioned, especially that I'm 15 years old. My friends at school do call me 'Kris' which is short and catchy. But one thing I'm glad of is that my name isn't spelled like: "Christine!"- Nicknames for Kristine
