- Comments and insights on the name Mazie
Mazie is the name of my Guide Dog. I got her when I was 18 and when I first heard the name, I didn't like it (we don't get to choose our guides names). Over the last 7.5 years of working with her, I've grown to love it. It's so cute and suits her a lot. Its true so many people spell it wrong or think it's something else like "daisy", "lazy", "crazy". When I'm playing with her I nicknamed her "Maziers". She's my first guide dog and this name is always going to be special. Mazie's puppy raisers gave her the name "Mazie" after the "Mazie the Maid" doll that they made for me.
- Personal experiences with the name Mazie
Many people spell it wrong. Usually they spell it "Maize" like corn. Also, a lot of people think it's Macy instead of Mazie so I've learned to respond to both. One needs to be patient and flexible with this name.
My cousin is called Mazie. When I first heard it, I thought it would be spelled Maisie, as this was the most common spelling in our area. Mazie is still cute, though.
