I am a Natalia, I was named after my Grandmother who was Serbian. It was a big name as a kid but I really grew into in college. People tend to say it wrong. My Grandma pronounced it like NAh-tall-ya, 9 times out of 10 people say Na-tail-ya, I've actually gotten into arguments with people on how to say it lol. I get complements on it all the time though and it is a fun story to tell. My grandma went by Talah and I go by (aunt)Talya to my nieces but everyone else calls me Natalia. I have only met a few other Natalia's, most are Hispanic but I met one girl from Russia who's name was spelled Natalya but she went by Natalie.
- Personal experiences with the name Natalia
I went to school with a girl named Natalia, she had a russian background. What I remember about her is she was really gorgeous and had long straight black hair, she was also tall and very good at school. She was really shy too.
