This is my mum's name. She was born in Australia in 1954. It is far less common in Australia than in the USA. On a recent trip to the US, Mum met more Rhondas in 3 weeks than she met in the preceeding 55 years in Aus!
She like her name though, as in her circles, it is distinctly hers.My name is also Rhonda. I was born in Georgia in 1967.
My parents liked the name and thought it went well with my older brothers name, Roger.
Growing-up I didn't really like my name and wished my parents had given me a popular name or one that was more common...like LeAnn, Traci, Denise or Cathy.
However, now that I am an adult, I like my name and appreciate it much more. After all, my parents tried to have another baby for 10+ years after my brother was born...and they liked it enough to name their only baby girl!- Nicknames for Rhonda
