When I was 5 or 6 I was in an art class where there was a girl named Stephanie. That was the first time I ever heard the name, and I thought it was a real funny name.

A really, really, great friend of mine's name is Stephanie. She is a GREAT girl. I have met only one other Stephanie before, and only very briefly. She is extremely tough, takes no non-sense, but has a giggly, cute, fun-loving side. She is an extremely great role-model. I love her, and her name. This name is GORGEOUS. =)

I love my name! I always have! (: I only ever met two other Stephanies in my lifetime, so I think it's quite unique. I was named after my dad, Steven Joesph Degerick, and mine being Stephanie Jolene Degerick. We also have the same initials. People usually just call me Steph or Step. My parents usually call me by my whole name or just Steffi, which I hate haha.

My middle daughter is called Stephanie. It's a lovely name and she is a lovely girl and a fabulous mum to her 2 girl. I had a friend called Stephanie who was so lovely and that made me like the name which is why I called my second child by that name. She's Steffers, Stefan, Steffie, or Stef. I also have a work colleague called Stephanie who is so calm, meditates and is just a really lovely, calm person. This makes me think that Stephanie's are all round fabulous people.

My sister is named Stephanie and when I was little I associated it with the words "terrible," "horrible," "no-good," and "very bad" (not to mention "loud") and still a contradicting feeling of unconditional love. Confusing, I know. As adults, we are better, obviously. Stephanie is my favorite girls' name but if I ever have a daughter I won't use it (just because my sister and I get along doesn't mean I want to pat her ego and give my kid her name). Her full name is Stephanie Danielle, and my mother thinks she looks more like a Danielle than a Stephanie. Beuatiful name, but she also has mentioned what a pain it is to have such long first and middle names when you're 3 or 4 years old and learning to write your name.
