Origin of the name Yael:
Hebrew name meaning "mountain goat." The name is borne in the Bible by the wife of Heber, the Kenite. After being defeated by Barak, the captain of the Canaanite army fled and sought refuge with the tribe of Heber. Yael invited him into her tent and killed him with a tent peg as he lay sleeping.
